At QIP Certifications, we view certification as a continuous improvement journey that we assist organisations with to ensure their consumers, staff and community receive the best quality care and support. To assist throughout this process, our team endeavour to provide on-going support and guidance for your organisation team to learn and benefit from.
As part of these offerings, we host live webinars, available to the public to provide clarification on certification, standards, policy and procedure, and highlight major updates as they arise.

In this climate, business continuity and disaster recovery has a higher profile than ever before. As a part of meeting Indicator 1.4 in the HSQF, every organization, from small operations to the largest enterprises must specifically outline what measures the organisation has in place against the common mandatory requirements within indicator 1.4 relating to disaster management and business continuity plans and, where relevant, participate in local disaster management planning to assess and support people with vulnerabilities.
From 1 January 2020, Queensland increased protection of human rights through the introduction of The Human Rights Act 2019.
Organisations contracted to provide services to the public, on behalf of the Queensland Government, are included under this Act as public entities. As such, they need to act accordingly, make decisions and be respectful of human rights.
These organisations were required to make changes to their policy and procedures and associated documentation, service delivery decisions and staff training to ensure these elements of operation demonstrate compliance with The Human Rights Act 2019 by 1 January 2020.
With certification clients across Australia’s health, community and human services, QIP Certifications worked with a number of these organisations and various peak bodies to assist teams with understanding the practical implications and impacts of The Human Rights Act 2019.
To support an increased understanding of this new Queensland legislation requirement, our team hosted a complimentary ‘The Human Rights Act 2019 – QIP Certifications Update Webinar’ on Thursday 30 January 2019.
Information shared during this webinar includes updates regarding the Act from the Queensland Government as well as details as to the importance of adhering to the Act and respecting human rights for all.
